Longtime Holmdel Resident Elsie Holz Dies at 95

Elsie Adeline Holz, 95, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. She was born Elsie Adeline Kleinhenz on May 21, 1918 in Newark.

Elsie also lived in Union, Kenilworth and West Keansburg, before she and her family settled in Holmdel in 1964. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Elsie (Dornig) Kleinhenz; her beloved husband, Max Holz; and her dear sons, Thomas and Arthur Holz.

Elsie is survived by her loving sons, Philip Holz and his wife Marie of Toms River, and Robert M. Holz and his wife Janet of Neptune, along with her cherished grandchildren, Philip & Robert Holz, Marylou Wheat, Lia Lanzo and her adored great-grandchildren, Austin Holz, Taylor Sabin, Brianna Wheat and Shawn Tucker.

She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to visit from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Rt. 35 N, Hazlet.
