Monmouth Co. Man Gets 7+ Years For Posing As Teen, Child Porn

UNION BEACH, NJ — A man from Union Beach was sentenced to 87 months in prison for child pornography, after posing as a teen on social media to solicit explicit photos, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig.
Herman Christopher Jensen, 68, had pleaded guilty after being charged with one count of knowingly receiving child pornography.
Jensen will also get a lifetime supervised release.

The FBI investigated Jensen after he created a fake social media account to solicit sexually explicit photos from an underage girl. He posed as a 17-year-old by the name "Kevin Bennett" and used that account from January through August of 2018 to communicate with the girl, according to Honig.
Jensen asked her to send nude and semi-nude photos of herself via Facebook Messenger. As time went on, hr received increasingly explicit videos of the victim engaging in sexually explicit activity, Honig said.

In August of the same year, he revealed his true identity as an adult. The two continued speaking over chat, but on the “Chris Jensen” Facebook account. In December, the girl traveled with to New Jersey to live with him.
Local Authorities were alerted and removed the girl from Jensen's residence on Dec. 19.
