HOLMDEL, NJ — Republicans, including current Mayor DJ Luccarelli, easily won election to the two open seats on Holmdel Township Committee in unofficial vote totals.

Luccarelli ran with GOP newcomer Joseph Romano. Kathleen Bauer ran as the sole Democratic challenger.

Luccarelli was seeking his second term in office. The second GOP spot opened up when longtime Committeeman and former Mayor Greg Buontempo decided not to run for re-election this year.
