Route 520 in Holmdel Now Open After Utility Repairs

Police say utility work in the Route 520 area of Holmdel is completed.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Utility work has been completed in the area of Route 520 and the roadway is now open, police said.

Police said early Tuesday morning that Route 520 would remain closed between Cross Road and Longbridge Road while utility crews continue repairs.

Police on Wednesday morning reported that JCP&L is still out working to repair damaged lines and restore power in other areas town, adding that motorists should still use caution.

According to JCP&L online updates, Holmdel had 49 customers without power as 5 p.m. Tuesday but is down to two customers as of 9 a.m. Wednesday. The online information says Monmouth County total outages are now 15, down from a high of 11,000 outages Monday morning after the overnight storm that saw flooding and wires down around the state.
