Woman Hit By Car, Killed In Keyport Late Friday Night
No criminal charges or traffic summons have been filed as of Saturday, authorities said.
KEYPORT, NJ - A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Keyport early Saturday morning, authorities said.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m., Keyport police located the female victim on Route 36 and Atlantic Street, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said.
The woman was transported to Bayshore Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased shortly after 2:15 a.m.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, Santiago said.
The involved driver, also an adult woman, remained on the scene.

Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) and the Keyport Police Department are investigating the incident.
