2 Home Burglaries In Livingston On Same Day, Police Say (Here's Where)
Both burglaries took place less than an hour apart, Livingston police said.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — Two home burglaries recently took place on the same day in Livingston, authorities announced Monday.
According to the Livingston Police Department, both burglaries took place on the evening of Sept. 17. Police released the following details about the incidents:
FRANKLIN AVENUE – “At 8:28 p.m., Livingston officers responded to a Franklin Avenue residence on a report of a burglary in progress to a residence. Upon the officers’ arrival, they observed an open second floor window, which the homeowner later confirmed was closed when they left the residence. The homeowners were not on scene at the time of the burglary, but were notified via video surveillance. The actors fled the scene prior to police arrival. Unknown on the proceeds of the burglary at this time. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.”

SPIER DRIVE – “At 9:24 p.m., Livingston officers responded to a Spier Drive residence on a report of a burglary to a residence. Upon the officers’ arrival, they met with the homeowners, who stated that when they got home, they observed the coffee table was moved and the bedrooms had been ransacked. It appears that the suspect(s) broke a window pane in a rear door of the residence and that was the point of entry. Unknown on the proceeds of the burglary at this time. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.”
