Let’s Save Ma, a breast cancer awareness nonprofit founded by West Orange resident and breast cancer survivor Dr. Deval Gadhvi, is partnering with Sanskriti of NJ for the 4th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, with cricket legend Sir Curtly Ambrose on Sunday, Oct. 5 at the Livingston Oval Gazebo from noon to 2 p.m.

The event, titled “Step Up to the Crease: Knock Out Breast Cancer,” brings together sports, community, and hope. Sir Curtly Ambrose will share his inspiring story of resilience, connecting his determination on the cricket field to the collective fight against breast cancer.

Let’s Save Ma’s mission is deeply rooted in Hudson, Essex, and Passaic Counties, where it partners with local grassroot and health organizations to promote early detection, awareness, and mammogram screening. In 2024 alone, the organization reached more than 21,000 underprivileged women, distributed educational material in five languages, and hosted 46 screening and educational camps.

Beyond New Jersey, Let’s Save Ma extends its reach globally, delivering education and screenings to women in remote villages in India, where access to health care is often scarce.

“Just as cricket demands focus, teamwork, and resilience, our fight against breast cancer requires the same spirit,” Gadhvi said. “We’re honored to welcome Sir Curtly Ambrose to help us raise awareness, strengthen communities, and save lives.”
