Car Stolen During Home Burglary In Livingston, Police Say
The homeowner told officers that he woke up and found the front door open. A bathroom window on the first floor was also open.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A car was stolen during a home burglary in Livingston on Sunday, authorities say.
According to the Livingston Police Department, officers responded to a residence on Troy Drive at 3:02 a.m. after getting a report about a burglary and stolen vehicle.
The homeowner told officers that he woke up and found the front door open. A bathroom window on the first floor was also open.

The suspect or suspects apparently took a set of keys to the resident’s 2024 BMW X5 and fled with the vehicle, police said.
A wallet, laptop computer and about $6,000 in cash were also stolen, authorities said.

The Livingston Detective Bureau processed the scene. An investigation is ongoing, police said.
