The Bane Haunted House is located in Livingston New Jersey at 630 W. Mount Pleasant Ave, the space formerly occupied by the Katherine Gibbs School. This terrifying tour takes place in a dark and desolate house deep in the woods. You might think this is a simple home for a quiet family of four but it quickly turns terrifying with the story of the Bane family: an experimental dad, freaking mom, and feverishly hungry children.
This is the horror attraction’s first Halloween season in Livingston. Last year, the event was held in Rockaway. The haunted house is open on weekends through Nov. 1.

Hoboken - Looking for a fun Halloween evening out? How about a nice dinner and evening at the Brass Rail? Located in downtown historical Hoboken at 135 Washington St., Brass Rail was built around the 20th century and has been known for supernatural occurrences.
A newlywed couple in 1904 visited the Brass Rail when the bride tripped from the second floor and died. The groom, wracked with grief killed himself in a room adjacent to the staircase. The Brass Rail has reported signs of supernatural and bizarre happenings said to be the spirit of not just the bride but of the groom and also other wedding guests.
Patch visited the Brass Rail in 2011, giving the bar an “eight out of ten.” Rumors of paranormal activity at the historical pub even drew New Jersey Ghost Hunters Society to the bar in back in 2004.
Unanswered phone calls, voices, misplacement of items and more have all been reported at the Brass Rail. If you’re brave enough, enjoy a beautiful dinner at this fantastic and historical location, but watch out, you might have a ghost story to tell yourself.
