Lidl Supermarket Coming To Livingston, Grand Opening Nears

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A new Lidl supermarket is coming to Livingston, with a grand opening scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11.

The new Lidl location is located at 599 West Mount Pleasant Avenue, near Route 10. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Here’s what to expect at the grand opening event, according to a news release:

“Make sure to get there early to fuel up with a freshly baked croissant and a cup of coffee before the fun begins! We’ll start welcoming customers with the sunrise; our official ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 7:40 a.m.”

The Livingston Lidl has been a source of discussion in the town, with some residents wondering when it they'll get a chance to scope it out from the inside.

“Is this store ever opening?” a Reddit user questioned earlier this year. “It's strange been sitting looking finished for a year but no updates.”

“I've been wondering about this, too, as I drive by pretty regularly,” another commenter wrote.
