Livingston ATM Thefts May Have Same Suspect, Police Say

A woman grabbed money from a customer using a bank ATM in Livingston. It isn't the first time this has happened, police said.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Another theft has taken place at a bank ATM in Livingston, authorities announced Tuesday.

The latest theft took place at 10:02 a.m. on Jan. 14 at the Wells Fargo bank on West Mount Pleasant Avenue, police said.

According to the Livingston Police Department, the victim said she was using the ATM when a slender woman in her late twenties walked up and grabbed the money - $100 in cash – then fled the scene in a light-colored SUV.

“The suspect appears to be the same suspect in prior ATM thefts within the township over the last couple of months,” a police spokesperson said.

In December, a woman snatched away hundreds of dollars in cash from a driver using an ATM at the Bank of America on South Livingston Avenue, police previously reported.
