Livingston Council Chooses New Mayor, Deputy Mayor For 2025

Another changing of the guard has taken place in Livingston's municipal government.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Another changing of the guard has taken place in Livingston’s municipal government.

The Township of Livingston held its annual township reorganization meeting on Wednesday. Watch a video of the meeting here, via LTV.

Edward Meinhardt was sworn in as Livingston’s new mayor after a vote from the town council. Shawn Klein was elected as deputy mayor.

Meinhardt is replacing former mayor Al Anthony, who was chosen to serve in the post for the third time last year.

Several municipal appointments were also approved at the meeting, including township attorney, municipal public defender, members of the planning and zoning boards and members of other township committees. See the full list here.
