Livingston Senior Community Center Plans Family-Friendly Fright Night

The halloween festivities will begin at 3:30 p.m. on October 25 and will include a "trunk or treat," costume parade, haunted walk, and more.

The Livingston Senior Community Center is planning a scream-worthy, family friendly, halloween fright night for Livingston families. Residents of all ages will be treated to a “trunk or treat,” costume contest, and a haunted walk on October 25.

Trunk or Treat

The Halloween festivities will begin with a kid-safe way to trick or treat. Between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m., trunk-or-treaters can walk from vehicle to vehicle in the parking lot behind the community center. Parents are asked to supply candy for the occasion.

The categories include: Most Unique, Scariest, Funniest, Best Super Hero, Prettiest, and Best Group Costume. Contestants will be grouped together by age: fourth grade and under, and fifth grade and older.

Each participant will receive a prize and category winners will be awarded a trophy and a certificate. Contestants must pre-register or pay $1 at the door.

Fright Night Fun Indoors

Indoor activities will begin inside the community center at 5 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m. These family fun features will be appropriate for all ages and include temporary Halloween tattoos, Halloween crafts, haunted games and activities, treats and refreshments.

Twisted Walk Through the “Haunted Woods”

Whether you’re looking for a mild fright or a full on scream machine, you’ll find your favorite fright at the Community Center. There will be two separate haunted walks, one for children ages 7 and up, and one that is not recommended for children under 10-years-old.

Don’t forget to bring a flashlight! An adult must accompany children under 10-years-old. Ticket costs are $2 per person for the walk for younger children, and $5 dollars for the “guaranteed to scream” haunted walk. Tickets will be available on the night of the event or online at livingstonsyls.org.

The Community Center is looking for volunteers to help with Fright Night. To learn more, contact Program Supervisor Brittany Elsasser at BELsasser@livingstonsyls.org.
