Less than a year after moving to Livingston, Sweet Basil's Cafe and Grill was <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/12/nyregion/a-review-of-sweet-basils-cafe-and-grill-in-livingston.html?_r=0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">featured in The New York Times</a> on Friday.   The newspaper gave the cafe favorable reviews for its "appealing" space, menu and modest prices. The small brunch and lunch spot, at 498 South Livingston Ave., moved into town in July 2012 from West Orange.  Food critic Fran Schumer also gave special attention to Sweet Basil's burgers: "Few among the many excellent hamburgers I have eaten in New Jersey are juicier or taste more strongly of the grill than this one."
