DWI Checkpoint Will Be Held In Eatontown Tonight, Police Say

Checkpoint will run from 11 p.m. on Friday through 3 a.m on Saturday on Route 36, police say.

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will hold a checkpoint tonight into early Saturday morning on Route 36 in Eatontown to detect drivers who may be under the influence or on drugs.

The checkpoint will run from 11 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. on Saturday said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, who is the task force coordinator.

Task force members and Eatontown Police Department officers will pull vehicles from the westbound lanes into the Motor Vehicle Division's parking lot to determine driver’s sobriety, he said.
