LONG BRANCH, NJ — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored? Anya works on Brennan 6 and the Emergency Room at Jersey Shore Medical Center and she is dedicated and committed to helping her patients during this pandemic. She has and continues to go above and beyond for her patients and their families.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero? During this pandemic, Anya is mother to two young girls Amani and Lyla. Her fiancee Tyree Parrish also works as a medical technician at Jersey Shore Medical Center, so she does her job and keeps her family together.
