Long Branch To Hold Memorial Day Celebrations Across City

In addition to the ceremonies, the City will also be offering a free vaccination clinic on the Boardwalk on May 30.

LONG BRANCH, NJ – The City of Long Branch will be holding its Memorial Day ceremonies across the city on Monday, May 31, from 9 to 11 a.m.

At 9 a.m., a ceremony will be held at Fireman’s Field; at 9:45, a wreath-laying ceremony will occur at West End Beach. Another ceremony will take place on the Liberty Street side of Jerry Morgan Park.

At City Hall, the municipal ceremony featuring the municipal Memorial Day essay contest winners reading their work will begin at 11 a.m. After the ceremony, there will be an open house at the VFW Post 2140 on Willow Avenue.

Also taking place in Long Branch over the upcoming weekend at Pier Village is their Memorial Day Weekend Celebration on May 30 from 12-8 p.m. There will be mini-golf, rock wall climbing, trampoline bungee jumping, along with other rides and games.

The City of Long Branch is also partnering with the VNACJ Community Health Center, Monmouth County, the New Jersey Department of Health, Walmart, and the Long Branch Police Depart to host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in May 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Long Branch Boardwalk Gazebo.

Both the Pfizer and the Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available, and the first 100 people that get vaccinated will get a free same-day beach badge.
