Unidentified Man Cashed $7,388 In Checks In Grand Larceny Incident In New York City

Police from the 106th Precinct posted grainy surveillance photos of the man online.

The New York City Police Department needs your help to identify a man who wrote checks against a victim's account totaling $7,388.22, according to a release from the 106th precinct in Queens.

A 43-year old man reported fraudulent activity on his checking account to precinct police on at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 29. Further investigation revealed an unidentified male had cashed four checks against the victim's account from TD Banks, all in New Jersey, police said.

The first incident happened at 12:43 p.m. on Aug. 20 at the TD Bank at 175 Wyckoff Road in Eatontown. The first check was for $1,878,65. That same day, the man cashed a check for $1,880.65 at 1:05 p.m. at the bank at 103 Parker Road, West Long Branch.

Later on the same day, the man went to the TD Bank on 802 West Park Avenue in Ocean Township and cashed another check for $1,868 at 1:26 p.m.

The last incident happened at 11:54 a.m. on Aug. 21 at the TD Bank on Mule Road in Toms River, according to the release.
