10 WMCHS Students Honored By National Merit Scholarship
The ten students were named Commended Students in the annual scholarship program.
LONG VALLEY, NJ β Ten West Morris Central High School students have been named Commended Students in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program,
The ten students are among the top five percent of the 1.6 million students who entered the competition for a National Merit Scholarship. Although these students will not move forward in the process, they will receive a letter of commendation for their efforts.
βThe young men and women being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,β a spokesperson for the National Merit Scholarship Corporation said. βThese students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.β
