Investigation Into Fatal Rt. 10 Crash Continues: Police
At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed in the crash that killed a local news reporter.

RANDOLPH, NJ β The investigation into the Sunday morning death of a pedestrian on Route 10 in Randolph is still underway, Randolph police said on Friday.
Lindsay Ireland, 26, was killed in the early morning hours of Sunday when she was hit by a car on Route 10, police said. Police say Ireland was at a Lake Hopatcong restaurant with her family before her death. The group got a ride from a car service and Ireland allegedly got out of the car on Route 10 en-route to her home in Randolph, police said on Friday.
According to police, several drivers called to say they saw Ireland walking in and out of traffic, including one driver that said Ireland tried to "slap" their car. An officer responding to those calls saw Ireland get hit, police said.

Ireland spent last summer as an intern with Patch in New York City. "Lindsay had a real passion for writing, particularly about music and food," said her manager, Adam Nichols. "Her work had a joy about it and she had a really promising career ahead of her. This news is devastating to all of us who knew her and we share our condolences with her family."
