Land Next To Cataract Park Purchased By Washington Township
The township purchased a 12-acre parcel bordering the park.

LONG VALLEY, NJ β A large parcel of land next to Cataract Park was recently purchased by Washington Township, Mayor Bill Roehrich said.
The roughly 12-acre stretch of land is being looked at as a potential site for a new trail, Roehrich said. The new train would make the waterfalls within the park easier for non-hikers to reach and enjoy.
County grants covered 80 percent of the purchase price, while the other 20 percent came from Township open space funds.
