Long Valley Business Aids In Building Handicap Ramp For Nonprofit
Golden Wolf Landscape & Design LLC, a landscaper in Long Valley, recently donated time and services to the nonprofit Rose House.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Long Valley resident recently donated his time and services to a local nonprofit to aid in the construction of much-needed wheelchair ramps.
Golden Wolf Landscape & Design, a Long Valley-based landscaping company, donated its time and services to clear land at the Rose House facility in Budd Lake.
Rose House, based in Morris County, provides group homes and independent living apartments for adults with developmental disabilities. They offer customized, self-directed programs to meet every need. According to officials, the organization's vision is an inclusive community where everyone has a loving home.

"We always want to go above and beyond standard requirements for wheelchair ramps," said Rose House CEO Tom Mitchell. "Adding ramps leading out the backdoors in addition to the existing front doors of the homes will help us achieve this goal."
Golden Wolf Landscape & Design aided the nonprofit by removing a 20-foot oak tree that sat on the property.

"Before construction could be possible, we first had to solve the issue of removing a tree that blocked one of the ramp’s paths. We are truly grateful that Golden Wolf stepped up and generously offered its services to remove the tree," Mitchell said.
"We like to give back to the community whenever possible, especially to help charities in need," said Golden Wolf President Marcus Celiano. "We contacted Rose House to see if there’s anything we could do for them, and were happy to help progress of their wheelchair ramp project."
Rose House, like many other organizations, was financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic due to a lack of public fundraising events. Now that the tree has been removed, the organization is looking for a local contractor to donate their time and build wheelchair ramps in the backyards of the Budd Lake group homes.
Any interested companies are invited to call the Rose House, at (973) 984-0006.
