Massive Fire Causes Building Collapse In Dover: Reports

Breaking: Four buildings have either totally or partially collapsed due to the fire, reports say.

DOVER, NJ β€” A massive fire has ripped through a Dover block, causing building collapses and displacing dozens of residents, according to reports.

The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. at 3 North Warren Street, possibly in the basement of a luncheonette, ABC 7 reported. The fire quickly overcame the buildings, destroying at least three businesses and apartment buildings. Four buildings saw either partial or total collapses, officials told NJ.com.

Over 100 people have been displaced as a result of the fire. The Red Cross is already working to help the displaced families, and officials said they would announce collection efforts on the town Facebook page when it was available.

No one was injured, town officials told the Daily Record. It was not immediately clear how the fire started.
