Touch-A-Truck Experience Attended By Long Valley Police
The event gave youngsters a chance to explore some of the trucks and cars that are part of everyday life in the township.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — What happens when you combine children with trucks, police cars, and fire engines? A lot of excitement, smiling faces, and a lot of honking horns and sirens.
The Washington Township Public Library hosted the popular Touch-a-Truck event on Monday, June 19 from 4 to 5 p.m. at 37 E. Springtown Road.
The event, which was sponsored by their Youth Services Director, was open to the public and free of charge.

This event gave children of all ages the opportunity to climb aboard, beep the horns, flash the lights, and sound the sirens of their favorite trucks.
Cpl Daniel Parrish and PO Dominick Pisciotto from the police department attended the Touch-a-Truck event at the library.

"The officers had a great time meeting some of our youngest community members and giving them a tour of a patrol vehicle. Thank you to WT Library for inviting us to participate in this fun event," police said.
At this fun family event, children were able to explore their favorite vehicles and meet the people who help build, protect and serve their community.
