$10K Lotto Ticket Sold at Quick Check in Madison

Passaic County store sells $338 million Powerball jackpot winner.

It may not be the $338 million Powerball jackpot, but a Quick Check customer is $10,000 richer after purchasing a winning ticket in the most recent drawing.

The 233 Main St. shop was one of five New Jersey stores to sell a third-prize ticket in the Saturday Powerball drawing, with each winner earning $10,000.

A Passaic liquor store sold the sole winning $338 million ticket, with an estimated cash value of $211 million. A Mahwah 7-Eleven sold a second-prize winning ticket, worth $1 million.

“This is an amazing win for New Jersey, the lucky ticket holders and the retailers,” said Carole Hedinger, executive director of the NJ Lottery. “The revenue that was generated by the Powerball lottery sales preceding this win will help to support vital programs and institutions that serve our residents.”

In addition to the Madison Quick Check, the following stores sold third-prize tickets worth $10,000 each: Exxon on the Run, Fort Lee; 7-Eleven, Cape May Court House; A&P, Denville; and Exxon, Scotch Plains.
