Congressman Frelinghuysen Tours Madison's Drew University, Meets New President
The Congressman, who represents most of Morris County, met with Drew University's new president and toured the campus.

Congressman Frelinghuysen and Dr. MaryAnn Baenninger talked about science, experiential Drew University President MaryAnn Baenninger welcomed Congressman Rodney P. Frelinghuysen to the Drew campus in late September.
The Congressman, whose district includes Madison and Drew University, spent time walking around the campus, visiting the recently-renovated Hall of Sciences and talked with President Baenninger about the future of the private liberal arts university, which was recently ranked among the top 100 Liberal Arts Colleges nationwide by U.S. News & World Report – and is the only New Jersey school on this list.
“We at Drew very much appreciate Congressman Frelinghuysen taking time during his Congressional recess to visit the Drew campus,” said Dr. Baenninger. “He is an important partner for our university in Washington, and we were delighted to welcome him here. He also took the time to meet and talk with some of our students and engage in discussions with them about their science research projects.”

During Congressman Frelinghuysen’s visit, he spoke to students presenting posters that described the research they had conducted as participants in the Drew Summer Science Institute. That program, offered annually, pairs interested science students with faculty mentors for specific research projects.
Frelinghuysen has represented New Jersey’s 11th most of Morris County, since 1995. He serves on the House Appropriations Committee and on three appropriations subcommittees: Energy and Water Development, Homeland Security, and Defense. Congressman Rodney P.
