Downed Power Lines Repaired, Park Ave. Reopened
Traffic was diverted down Cedar Avenue and Danforth Road after a power line fell across Park Avenue Tuesday.
UPDATE-- 3:19 p.m.: A downed power line has been repaired and have reopened traffic in both directions along Park Avenue.
Police closed Park Avenue from Danforth Road to Cedar Avenue Tuesday afternoon because a power line fell across the roadway.
An alert from police said the road was closed in both directions. Traffic was diverted down Cedar Avenue and Danforth Road, and police asked drivers to avoid the area if possible.

The downed power line fell from a pole next to 182 Park Ave., according to police. Only that house was affected.
Police said no one was home at the time of the incident. Motorists alerted police to the down wire through 911 calls at about 2:10 p.m.

Madison Electric is expected on the scene momentarily, and police estimate the power line will be repaired within half an hour.
