Drew University Hosting Award-Winning Poets

A pair of award-winning poets will be reading at Drew University's MFA in Poetry June Reading Series.

Drew University will be hosting a pair of award-winning poets during the university’s MFA in Poetry June Reading Series later this month.

C.K. Williams and Gerald Stern will read during the poetry series on Saturday, June 27, at 7 p.m. The reading is part of Drew University’s MFA in Poetry and Poetry in Translation June residency and reading series, according to the university.

The series, which begins on June 20, will conclude on June 27 with Williams and Stern. Williams, who has won the Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award and National Book Critics Circle Award, will be interviewed and a panel discussing his work and a reception will take place following his reading, the university said.

Stern, who has won awards such as the Frost Medal, will also read during the evening. Stern is also the Distinguished Poet-in-Residence for Drew’s MFA in Poetry program and a former Poet Laureate of New Jersey, according to Drew University.

All readings will begin at 7 p.m. and are held at Mead Hall.
