Elevator Dedicated at Civic Center

Renovation included an easier way for seniors to move from floor to floor.

Madison seniors and government officials came together on Monday to dedicate the new elevator at the Civic Center. The elevator installation was part of a renovation for the Civic Center, which has given seniors some extra space as well as an easier way to get from floor to floor. Seniors left the Senior Center at the Civic Center in November, and came back in April, with the center fully functional at the start of the summer. On Monday, Mayor Mary-Anna Holden cut the ribbon on the elevator with Borough Council Members Jeannie Tsukamoto, Bob Conley, Vincent Esposito, and former Councilwoman and current Planning Board Member Carmela Vitale. The following is a video from the ceremony.
