Patriot's Day Blood Drive at Madison Masonic Lodge

It can often be said that life can change unexpectedly, and no one likes to think about bad things happening to good people, but nine years ago the lives of thousands of people were changed forever when the World Trade Center was attacked. Post 9/11 blood centers throughout the area were inundated with donors wanting to do something to help by donating blood.

People continue to have accidents and become ill, often requiring the expertise of the medical community and the generosity of blood donors who take the time to give of themselves; however the lines of people offering to donate blood have become shorter.

Madison Masonic Lodge has continued to sponsor community blood drives for many years, and recently met with the Blood Center of New Jersey to confirm blood drive dates through 2011.

Our next blood drive will be Patriot's Day - September 11, 2010 from 10am to 3pm at the Lodge building located at 170 Main Street, Madison. Anyone in good health, weighing over 120 pounds and 16 years of age (with parental consent) may donate. Please eat a light meal before donating and bring photo ID. No appointment is necessary.

For further information contact the Madison Masonic Lodge at 973-377-0044 or the Blood Center of New Jersey at 800-NJBLOOD.
