Madison Area YMCA Hosting 'Run With Pride' 5K

The Madison Area YMCA is hosting a 5K to benefit its Project Community Pride next month.

The Madison Area YMCA is hosting a 5K next month to benefit the Y’s Project Community Pride.

The “Run With Pride” 5K is a USATF-NJ sanctioned and certified 5K at Giralda Farms, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. Check-in for the event will take place between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. The one-mile family fun run begins at 6:45 p.m.

According to a report from NJ.com, Project Community Pride of the Madison Area YMCA is a free youth counseling program that is one of the Y’s community-based programs. Collaborators from the Chathams, Florham Park and Madison have come together to make the program possible, the report said.

The cost of entrance into the 5K is $23 per person, plus a $3.25 sign up fee online, before May 12, after which it increases to $30, plus a $3.75 sign up fee online. Registration ends on May 18.

The entrance fee for the family fun run is $8, plus a $2.75 sign up fee online, before May 12, after which it increases to $10 and a $3.25 sign up fee. participants 10 and under are free.
