Madison High School's football team must win Friday to make the state playoffs, according to NJ.com.
Madison (5-2) plays Newton (4-3) 7 p.m. away.
According to the website, if Madison beats Newton, and if West Essex beats Barringer, the Dodgers will be the No. 7 seed. If Madison loses, the team is out of the running.
Earlier in the season, the Dodgers extended the team's winning streak to a school-record 39 games before losing to Hanover Park.
