Man Arrested After Allegedly Shoplifting at Stop & Shop
Police say 59-year-old took $26 worth of items.

A 59-year-old Convent Station resident was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at in Madison on Aug. 23.
Daniel Bergeron was allegedly inside the store parking lot acting suspicious when he was stopped by Madison Patrolman Ken Shannon.
After a computer check revealed an active arrest warrant for Bergeron issued by Hanover Township Municipal Court in the amount of $707 for failure to appear in court, police said Shannon further discovered Bergeron had allegedly shoplifted $26 worth of items from the store.

Bergeron was transported to headquarters for processing and released to the authorities of Hanover Township pending a mandatory court appearance.
