New Crimestoppers Site Allows for Anonymous Texts, E-mails

Madison Police encourage residents to check out and use the site to help stop crime in borough, county.

The Madison Police Department has announced the Morris County Sheriff's Department recently unveiled a new Crimestoppers website with updated and improved functions.

Crimestoppers touts itself as a program that combines the cooperation of the public, media and law enforcement to help expand the reach of the county's law enforcement groups. It allows residents throughout Morris County to anonymously send tips via phone calls, e-mail and texts. The anonymous nature of program is vital to its purpose, giving people a safe place to send tips on crimes.

The Madison Police Department said the anonymous submissions by e-mail and texts are some of the new aspects of the website.
