Pair Arrested for Possession of Ecstasy after Call from Drew Public Safety
Police also charged three others with possession of crack cocaine.

On Sept. 3, police arrested Christopher M. Toia, 20, of Alvie, Va., and Brandon I. Leader, 23, of Oakton, Va., and charged them with possession of MDMA (Ecstasy), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession/use of a toxic chemical. Drew University public safety officers had called the Madison Police Department after hearing the sound of air leaking from a vehicle while it was parked in a university parking lot. The officers said they discovered Toia and Leader were apparently inhaling compressed gas from a nitrous oxide tank inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation, Leader and Toia were also found to be in possession of MDMA, a schedule 1 narcotic. Both were arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. After processing they were released pending their court appearance.
On Aug. 31, police arrested Rosemarie Milillo, 30, Robert Vanduyne, 23, and Aaron Samples, 44, all of Boonton and charged them with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. While on patrol, an officer had observed Milillo operating her motor vehicle while talking on a cell phone when traveling on Route 24. After stopping her for this violation, police say they determined that all three occupants were in possession of crack cocaine and a crack pipe. Once arrested and back at headquarters, additional contraband was found on Samples and Vanduyne, officers said. All three were ultimately remanded to the Morris County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail each. Milillio was additionally charged with the cell phone violation, failure to exhibit an insurance card and possessing controlled dangerous substances in a motor vehicle. Vanduyne was also charged with possession of heroin.
On Sept. 1, police arrested Thuy Nguyen, 20, of Bordentown, and charged her with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and littering. Also arrested was Bayan Jaber, 20, of Brooklyn, N.Y., who was charged with possession of alcohol while under the legal age. While on patrol, officers noticed debris being thrown from the vehicle that Nguyen was operating on Madison Avenue. Once stopped for this violation it was determined that Nguyen was in possession of marijuana and Bayan was in possession of alcohol. After processing, both individuals were released pending their court appearance.

On Sept. 1, police arrested Jnecia Flanagan, 20, of Metuchen, and charged her with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a vehicle stop. Police had stopped Flanagan on Loantaka Way for an equipment violation and after a brief investigation discovered that she was in possession of marijuana. After her arrest and processing she was released pending her court appearance. She was also charged with failing to maintain the headlights of her vehicle.
On Sept. 2, police arrested Isha Lee, 35, of Newark, on the strength of a $500 Parsippany warrant. Police had discovered that Lee's driver's license was suspended after randomly entering her license plate while on Route 24. The inquiry revealed that her license was suspended and showed the outstanding Parsippany warrant. After her arrest and processing, she was released on bail. Lee was also charged with driving with a suspended license.

On Sept. 3, police arrested Jose Diaz, 21, of Elizabeth, and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving. While on patrol, officers stopped Diaz for driving erratically on Main Street. According to the police report, during the subsequent stop the officers were able to see a marijuana pipe in plain view resulting in Diaz's arrest. After processing, Diaz was released pending his court appearance.
On Sept. 3, police arrested Allison Ido, 28, of Paterson, and charged her with driving while intoxicated. While on patrol, officers had witnessed several moving violations and stopped Ido's vehicle on Park Avenue. After a brief investigation they determined that Ido was operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol and arrested her. She was ultimately transported to police headquarters for processing where she was later released to a friend. Ido was additionally charged with careless driving and failure to maintain a lane.
On Sept. 5, police arrested Charles Horne, 52, of Morristown, and charged him with driving while intoxicated, speeding, careless driving and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Police had initially stopped Horne on Route 24 for traveling 84 mph in a 65 mph zone. Once stopped, Horne was found to be operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol and also in possession of an open container of alcohol which Horne poured out inside the vehicle as the officer inquired about its contents. After his arrest and process, Horne was released the following morning pending his court appearance.
The Madison Police Department and Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to approximately 16 medical emergencies last week. The police department investigated 13 motor vehicle crashes during the same period.
