Park Avenue Detour Planned for Paving
County road to be resurfaced next week between Danforth Road and Madison Avenue.

Traffic on eastbound Park Avenue will be detoured at Danforth Avenue to Madison Avenue next week while a stretch of the county road is resurfaced, Madison announced Thursday.
Milling and paving work is planned between Madison Avenue to Danforth Road.
Detours will be posted next week from Tuesday to Friday, and are advising motorists to avoid the area from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. those days, according to a police Nixle alert.

Separately, nighttime work on PSE&G gas mains on Main Street .
Crews replacing gas mains on sections of Main Street and Madison Avenue are expected to begin around Monday and continue until the project is completed in October.

The first phase will focus on Main Street between Greenwood Avenue and Green Village Road, and is expected to take approximately five weeks. Work hours for the Main Street portion are from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The second phase will focus on Madison Avenue between Park Avenue and Loantaka Way, and will begin after the Main Street work is complete. Work hours for the second phase are scheduled for 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
