Police Blotter: Man Arrested for Not Paying Dinner Bill
Boonton man who had a warrant out for a similar situation ate and had drinks before telling owner he couldn't pay.

On June 12, police arrested Brian Cahill, 47 of Boonton, and charged him with theft of services. Police were called to restaurant on Waverley Place after Cahill had ordered dinner and drinks then advised the owner he could not pay for it. Police ran a computer check on his name and were alerted that there was an active criminal warrant issued by Wayne Municipal Court for similar incidents. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released to the authorities of Wayne Township pending a mandatory court appearance.
On June 10, police arrested Steven Dorsey, 31 of Edwardsville, Pa., on the strength of a $750 warrant. Police were contacted by New Jersey State Police who stopped Dorsey for a motor vehicle violation. A computer check on his name alerted them that he was wanted by Madison Municipal Court. He was taken to headquarters for processing. After processing he was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail pending a mandatory court appearance.
On June 12, police arrested James Granger, 19 of Andover, and charged him with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped Granger for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined that he was in possession of narcotics. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a mandatory court appearance. Granger was also issued two motor vehicle summons for equipment violations.

On June 12, police arrested Kristine Costantin, 22 of South Amboy, on the strength of a $300 traffic warrant. Police ran a computer check on the license plate of the vehicle Costantin was traveling in and he was alerted she was wanted by Woodbridge Township Municipal Court. She was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing she was released after posting bail.
On June 12, police arrested Eric Mcaffe, 20 of Wayland, Mass., and charged him with driving under the influence. Police initially stopped Mcaffe after an off duty Madison Police Officer stopped him for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a mandatory court appearance. He was also issued a motor vehicle summons for following a vehicle to close.
