Police Blotter: Traffic Stops Lead to Drug, Alcohol-Related Arrests
Female arrested for underage possession of alcohol after identification check.

On Sept. 8, police arrested Jonathan Creveling, 38, of Phillipsburg, on the strength of a $1,100 arrest warrant issued by Madison Municipal Court. Police were contacted by the Lebanon Township Police Department, which had Creveling in custody. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing, he was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail pending a mandatory court appearance.
On Sept. 9, police arrested Krzysztof Lenkiewicz, 21, of Bayonne, and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped Lenkiewicz for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined he was in possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing, he was released pending a mandatory court appearance. Lenkiewicz was also issued a motor vehicle summons for speeding.
On Sept. 9, police arrested Alexus Joseph, 20, of Rahway, and charged her with underage possession of alcohol and purchase. Police initially stopped Joseph for an identification check after coming out of a liquor store. It was determined that she was not 21 years old and had purchased alcohol with false identification, police said. She was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing, she was released pending a court appearance.

On Sept. 10, police arrested Timothy Hannah, 38, of Jersey City, and charged him with driving under the influence. Police initially stopped Hannah for impeding the flow of traffic on Route 24 westbound where he was traveling 39 miles per hour in a 65-mile-per-hour zone, police said. It was determined that he was operating his vehicle under the influence, police said. He was transported to headquarters for processing. While being processed, a computer check was ran on Hannah's name, police were alerted that there was a $2,758 arrest warrant issued by Secaucus Municipal Court. Hannah was issued motor vehicle summonses for impeding the flow of traffic, failure to maintain a lane, careless driving and driving with a suspended license. He was released to the authorities of Secaucus pending mandatory court appearances in both Secaucus Municipal court and Madison Municipal Court.
The Madison Police Department, Fire Department and Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to approximately 16 medical emergencies last week. The police department investigated four motor vehicle crashes during the same period.
