Police Investigating Burglaries at Pet Spa, Pizzeria
Money taken from Elite Pet Spa and Boutique and the Pizza Factory; Attempted break-in was at Main Street Submarines.

The Madison Police Department is asking for information regarding two burglaries and an attempted break-in, all occurring on Monday and all in the area of Main St. and Cross St.
Lt. Darren Dachisen said the two burglaries were committed at Elite Pet Spa and Boutique at 189 Main St. and the Pizza Factory at 7 Cross St. The amount of $150 and several checks were taken from Elite Pet Spa and Boutique after entry was forced through the smashed front door, and about $250 was taken from the Pizza Factory after entrance was gained through a broken window.
An attempted break-in occurred at Main Street Submarines at 187 Main St., but entrance was not obtained through the rear window.

The scenes were processed for fingerprints and there is a pending investigation.
The department issued an alert Tuesday afternoon about the incidents, which they say occurred between the hours of 1 and 2 a.m.

The alert said the individual or individuals responsible forced entry by breaking glass, and once inside took money, food, and alcoholic beverages.
In two of the incidents, individuals were witnessed by residents in the area acting suspicious, but no calls to the police were made.
