Police: Single-Car Accident Sends Three To Hospital

Madison Police report several people were sent to the hospital after a single-car crash in the borough and other Madison and area teens face drug charges.

On May 14, 2015 at 8:31 p.m., Ptl. Burans arrested Blaine Spencer age 62 of Morristown, NJ. Officers were called to a Main St residence on a report that a man was attempting to access a second floor apartment on a ladder. When officers arrived, they located Spencer on a ladder and learned that he previously been warned not to enter onto the property. Spencer charged with Defiant Trespass and released on his own recognizance pending an appearance in the Madison Municipal Court.

On May 21, 2015 at 7:50 p.m., Ptl. Bart Glab arrested Christopher Driscoll age 19, Matthew Sweeney age 18, and Ryan Hoover age 19 all of Madison, NJ. Ptl. Glab stopped a vehicle being operated by Driscoll, after observing an alleged violation take place on Main St. while speaking with Driscoll, a case of Miller Light beer was observed inside the vehicle. All three men were charged with Under Age Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage and released on their own recognizance pending their appearance on the Madison Municipal Court.

On May 24, 2015 at 5:51 p.m., Ptl. Bart Glab arrested 27 year old Linden Jones of Newark, NJ. Glab conducted a motor vehicle stop on Main St after observing an alleged equipment violation. When the officer approached the vehicle he observed Jones allegedly grab an item form the glove box and attempt to unsuccessfully conceal it on the passenger side seat. The officer recognized the item as suspected marijuana. Jones was charged with Possession of Less than 50 grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia and released on his own recognizance pending an appearance in the Madison Municipal Court.

On May 25, 2015 at 8:35 a.m., Ptl. Matthew Mirabella arrested 19 year old Ashleigh Mallo of Morristown, NJ. Ptl. Mirabella stopped Mallo after observing an alleged equipment violation Main St. When conducting a DMV check he found Mallo had an outstanding $155.00 warrant issued from the Morris Twp. Municipal Court. Mallo was released after posting her required bail.

The Madison Police Department has responded on 78 Medical calls, 38 Motor Vehicle Crashes and 67 Activated Alarms for the month of May.
