Election season is coming up and six residents are seeking votes for the Madison Borough Council.

The deadline to submit a petition to be placed on the ballot came and went on Monday, March 30. Six residents are on the ballot for the Borough council.

Incumbent Mayor Robert H. Conley and incumbent council members Astri J. Baillie, Council President, and Benjamin Wolkowitz are seeking re-election.

The Republican candidate for mayor is Donald Bowen and the Republican candidates for Borough Council include Martin Barbato and Mark Chiarolanza.

Anyone looking to run as an Independent in the General Election has until the end of the Primary Election to submit his or her name.

The Primary is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
