Star Ledger: $877,000 in Legal Fees Awarded in Suit vs. BOE
Brings end to lawsuit filed by former employee.

The Star Ledger has reported that $877,000 in legal fees was awarded by a judicial order this month, ending a two-year lawsuit by a former employee of the Madison Board of Education.
According to the report, the board settled for an undisclosed amount with Joan Briel, 58, of Scotch Plains, a secretary with multiple sclerosis, who had filed suit in 2008 alleging discrimination based upon her disability.
A judge signed off on her attorney's fee last week.
