WEATHER UPDATE: Madison's Hour-By-Hour Forecast

Madison can expect to see between 2 and 4 inches of snow this afternoon.

The National Weather Service’s winter storm warning has been reduced to a winter storm advisory for Madison, but still remains in effect through 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5.

Madison can expect to see snow this afternoon, mainly before 5 p.m., with possible daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches, according to the National Weather Service. The temperature should remain steady around 21 degrees.

  • 3 p.m. - 21 degrees, wind chill of 9, snow
  • 6 p.m. - 21 degrees, wind chill of 10, chance of snow
  • 9 p.m. - 18 degrees, wind chill of 7, mostly cloudy, snow stops
  • Midnight - 11 degrees, wind chill of -1, partly cloudy

Hazardous travel conditions will exist due to the inclement weather. The National Weather Service said, “hazardous travel conditions are possible due to greatly reduced visibilities and significant snow accumulations.”
