Week in Review: Busy Meeting Dominates Headlines
Budget passes, Lincoln Place project contracts gets go-ahead, and MRC contract voted down for now.

This week on Madison Patch, we brought you a lot of news from a busy Borough Council meeting. There were still plenty of others in the Rose City making headlines, there was a lot to digest form Bayley-Ellard this week.
On Monday, we told you about how Main Street was being featured on a national Web site, showing video from 1980. We also brought you over 70 photos from the latest Downtown Concert Series event outside of the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts. We also told you about how residents were helping Habitat for Humanity through ReStore.
On Tuesday, we told you about how a student fell out of a third story window at Drew University, but appeared to only have minor injuries. we told you about how Lincoln Place project contracts were awarded amidst some heated discussion. On also told you about how the municipal budget was finally adopted. Finally, we told you about how Madison resident–and the mayor's husband–Rich Holden would soon be receiving a prestigious journalism award that was once given to Walter Cronkite.

On Wednesday, we told you about two residents who were having their art work displayed at the Morristown Community Theatre. We also told you about new Planning Board member Michael Kopas, and brought you a video of his swearing in at the most recent meeting. We also brought you our first of what will be a weekly feature on Madison Community Pool lifeguards, this one on Alyssa Ramirez.
On Thursday, we brought you both a video and full text of a speech Mayor Mary-Anna Holden gave honoring two life-long residents who recently passed away. We also told you about how the ordinance authorizing additional work for T&M Associations on the Madison Recreation Center was voted down, but that it was expected to be back in August. Finally, we brought you the latest police blotter, which told of a number of arrests made from warrants.
