What Are The Water Restrictions In Madison?
During the summer months, Madison residents and businesses are asked to use the voluntary water restrictions.

During the summer months, Madison residents and businesses are asked to use the voluntary water restrictions set by Borough administrators and the Madison Water Department.
According to the borough’s website:
- Outdoor use for lawn and shrub watering, car washing, driveway and sidewalk washings is restricted to alternate days, borough officials advised.
- Residents and businesses with even-numbered addresses may use water outdoors on even-numbered dates, while residents and businesses with odd-numbered addressed are restricted to using water outdoors on odd-numbered dates.
- The use of water outdoors is permitted from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. and then from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. midnight on the designated days.
- Borough officials noted there should be no outdoor water use between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on any day.
