Richard Nixon's Bergen County Home Listed For $1.2 Million

BERGEN COUNTY — Your realtor is not a crook, this listing is legit President Richard Nixon's former Bergen County home.

A 3-bedroom at 23 Sherwood Downs in the Park Ridge gated community Bears Down is currently on the market for $1.2 million, according to a Christie's International listing.

"If you've ever wanted to live like a president, now is your chance," the listing reads. "This unit has it all!

All, specifically, are the amenities enjoyed by the 37th U.S. president when he moved into the Bergen County home in 1991, NorthJersey.com reports.

Those amenities include two fire places, a built-in library, sauna, gym, outdoor pool and of course lots and lots of privacy.

The home is one of 76 in Bears Nest designed by architect Eleanore Petterson, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, in the 1980s.

Former residents of the exclusive community include former New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin.

Bears Nest also appears in a Mary Jane Clark paperback "Do You Want To Know A Secret?"
