3 Car Thefts Reported In Maplewood (Here’s Where, Police Say)

MPD: Three car thefts were recently reported in Maplewood.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Three car thefts were recently reported in Maplewood, police say.

The Maplewood Police Department released the following information about each incident:

November 3 – Maplewood police officers responded to a Union Avenue residence after getting a report about a motor vehicle theft. The driver of a 2021 Kia Sorento parked their vehicle overnight in the driveway with the keys inside. Unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle and drove off in an unknown direction.

November 5 – Maplewood police officers responded to a Newark Way residence after getting a report about a motor vehicle theft. The driver of a 2018 Kia Soul parked their vehicle in a parking lot. Unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle and drove off in an unknown direction.

November 5 – Maplewood police officers responded to a Hilton Avenue residence after getting a report about a motor vehicle theft. The driver of a 2014 Mercedes E350 parked their vehicle on the street. Unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle and drove off in an unknown direction.
