Car Hits Pedestrian In Maplewood; Driver Gets Summons: Police

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Maplewood, police say.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Maplewood last week, police say.

According to the Maplewood Police Department, officers responded to Boyden Avenue and Gifford Court on April 9 after getting a report that a vehicle struck an adult pedestrian.

The South Essex Fire Department transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
