SUMMIT, NJ – December 22, 2024, Gwyneth Brown, 17, of Maplewood, New Jersey, will play the star roles of “Harlequin Doll,” “Arabian,” “Waltz of the Flower Roses,” and “Snowflakes” in this year’s full-length production of New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble’s (NJDTE) holiday classic: THE NUTCRACKER. Gwyneth, the daughter of Deidre and Dean Brown, currently attends Columbia High School.

NJDTE celebrates its 55th Season of the full-length production of THE NUTCRACKER. Set to the classical music of Peter Tchaikovsky and choreographed by NJDTE Artistic Director, Nancy Turano, the ballet features 64 talented pre-professional dancers from New Jersey alongside international guest artists from Ballet Hispanico, Complexions former NJ Ballet Stars and Alumni of NJDTE. “It means so much to me to play the roles of “Harlequin Doll and Arabian in the Nutcracker this year. I can’t wait to embody the two roles on stage!” says Gwyneth.

Gwyneth is a very talented dancer who has both technical and artistic ability which captures your eye on stage. She is a standout in the Arabian pas de trois performing with Guest Artist Henry Steele-Dillon and as the Harlequin Doll. As a senior dancer we appreciate the high level she brings to the stage.” says Artistic Director Nancy Turano.

All performances take place at The Memorial Auditorium at Montclair State University on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 1:00pm and 5:00pm.
