Rainy Wednesday In Maplewood-South Orange May Include Snow, Weather Forecasters Say

MAPLEWOOD-SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Maplewood and South Orange are expected to see a rainy day on Wednesday, and it may include some snow. The good news? “Little or no snow accumulation” is expected, weather forecasters say.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), snow and a wintry mix are in store as a frigid stretch continues in New Jersey. The highest chance of snow is in the northwestern corner of the state, which could see up to 1 inch, forecasters said.

There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation on Wednesday in Maplewood and South Orange, forecasters said.

Here’s the local forecast for the next few days, as per the NWS:

Wednesday: Rain, mainly after 1pm. High near 41. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Southwest wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly before 10pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 29. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Southwest wind 11 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 36. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. West wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 24. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 36.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of light snow after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of snow before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 35.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 17.
